At Ideation, our Packing Associates play an important role in getting our products from the production line to our customers safely, efficiently, and with the quality our customers expect.

As a Packing Associate , you'll work as part of a team responsible for preparing, inspecting, packaging, and palletizing finished products. You'll learn different areas of the packaging operation and gain hands-on experience with equipment, food safety, quality standards, and production processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to learn new skills, work as part of a team, and build a career in food manufacturing.

No previous food manufacturing experience is required. We're looking for people who are dependable, willing to learn, and safety-focused.

Keep the Line Moving

• Review the daily production schedule and understand the day's production requirements
• Help set up and prepare packaging lines before production begins
• Ensure the appropriate materials, supplies, and equipment are available
• Assist with line changeovers and breakdowns
• Keep products and materials moving efficiently throughout the packaging process

Package Products with Quality in Mind

• Operate and assist with packaging equipment, conveyors, printers, and pallet jacks
• Properly bag, box, slice, seal, and package products according to specifications
• Load and unload products and packaging materials
• Stack and unstack products and boxes safely
• Move finished products through packaging and into storage

Protect Product Quality

• Visually inspecting products for defects or foreign material
• Performing weight and count checks
• Verifying packaging, labels, and product information
• Monitoring equipment settings and making adjustments when directed
• Reporting quality or equipment concerns immediately to your leader

Accurately Document Your Work

• Record downtime, waste, production completion, package verification, and other required information
• Complete metal detector checks and other required quality checks
• Follow customer specifications and company procedures
• Communicate issues quickly and accurately to supervisors and management

Work Safely

• Follow all company safety procedures and food safety requirements
• Follow GMP, SQF, OSHA, and other applicable standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Stay aware of your surroundings and work safely around moving equipment
• Immediately report safety, quality, or equipment concerns

Experience

• Previous bakery, food manufacturing, production, or packaging experience is preferred but not required
• We're willing to train the right person

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk for an 8-hour shift
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Bend, stoop, twist, push, pull, and reach above shoulder level
• Move products and materials throughout the facility
• Safely operate or work around packaging equipment
• Perform repetitive movements involving hands, wrists, arms, and legs

Position Requirements

• Full-time position
• Availability to work assigned shifts
• Open availability may be required for nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Must be able to adapt to changing production schedules and priorities
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Must follow all company attendance, safety, food safety, and operating policies
