Community Banking Supervisor II (Senior Head Teller)

East Berlin, PA

Lead Branch Operations, Strengthen Controls, and Develop the Next Generation of Banking Talent

ACNB Bank is seeking an experienced banking professional to oversee branch operations and lead the teller function at our East Berlin Office. This role is designed for a seasoned Head Teller, Senior Teller, Branch Operations Specialist, or Community Banking Supervisor who understands the critical balance between operational excellence, risk management, customer service, and team development.

What Success Looks Like

During your first year, you will:

• Build and maintain a highly engaged teller team that consistently delivers exceptional customer experiences.
• Ensure branch cash operations, vault balancing, ATM servicing, and dual-control processes are executed accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain strong audit, compliance, and operational performance standards with minimal exceptions.
• Serve as the branch expert for teller operations, problem resolution, and transaction oversight.
• Develop teller talent through coaching, training, accountability, and performance management.
• Partner with branch leadership to achieve operational, service, and referral goals.

What You'll OwnOperational Leadership

• Direct daily teller operations and workflow.
• Ensure compliance with Bank policies, procedures, regulations, and security protocols.
• Serve as the primary operational resource for complex transactions and exception handling.
• Support branch audits, reviews, and risk-management initiatives.

Cash & Vault Management

• Manage vault cash, currency orders, coin inventory, and balancing functions.
• Oversee ATM settlement, cash replenishment, and balancing activities.
• Monitor branch cash levels and ensure appropriate controls are maintained.
• Investigate and resolve teller discrepancies and operational issues.

Team Development

• Coach, mentor, and develop Community Banking Associates.
• Conduct teller training and reinforce operational best practices.
• Support onboarding, performance management, and succession development.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Customer & Business Development

• Assist customers with complex banking needs.
• Open and service deposit accounts.
• Identify opportunities and refer customers to appropriate banking specialists.
• Support office performance objectives and relationship growth initiatives.

Required Banking Experience

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Three or more years of progressive experience in a bank or credit union environment.
• Prior experience as a Head Teller, Senior Teller, Teller Supervisor, Community Banking Supervisor, or Branch Operations Specialist.
• Demonstrated experience managing vault cash, teller balancing, ATM operations, and branch cash controls.
• Experience coaching, directing, or supervising teller staff.
• Strong knowledge of operational risk management, audits, compliance requirements, and internal controls.
• Experience opening consumer deposit accounts and supporting branch sales and referral efforts.
• High School Diploma or GED.

This Is Not a Retail Management Position

We're seeking an experienced banking professional with a proven understanding of branch operations, teller supervision, compliance standards, cash management, and operational risk controls.
